Back at the mansion, Kai pulled up security footage in the surveillance room. I leaned over his shoulder, watching the screens rewind through the past 24 hours.

“We should have seen something,” Kai muttered.

“Nothing?” Damon asked.

Kai shook his head. “No break-ins. No movement that shouldn’t be there. It’s like they walked through walls.”

Naomi crossed her arms. “Then we’re dealing with someone—or something—we haven’t seen before.”

My jaw tightened. The deeper they went, the worse it got. “At this point, I need to mull things over.” I said with an uneasy look on my face.

“We’ll have to figure this shit out fast.” Kai stated.

“For Sho!” I muttered.

I sat in my study, turning the letter over in my hands. The wax seal had long since been broken, but the words still weighed on me. Whoever sent this was watching them closely—closer than they should be able to.

The door creaked open, and Naomi stepped inside. She didn’t knock. She never did.

“You look like hell,” she remarked, leaning against my desk.

“Appreciate the concern,” I said with a smile on my face.

Naomi smirked. “You gonna tell me what’s on your mind, or do I have to guess?”

I exhaled sharply, tossing the letter onto the desk. “We set up a meeting with the Yamato Group. If they’re involved, we need to know how deep.”

“And if they don’t cooperate?” she asked.

“Then we make them,” I said flatly.

Naomi studied him for a moment, her gaze unreadable. “That’s risky.”

“No risk, no reward,” I replied.

She let out a short laugh. “You sound like a man about to start a war.”

“Maybe I am.”

Naomi tilted her head. “Then I guess I better have your back.”

I glanced at her, the weight of the moment settling between them. I wasn’t sure if she meant that in a professional sense, or something more—but for now, he didn’t question it.

Yumi stepped into the doorway, arms crossed. “You sure about this?”

“No,” I admitted. “But I don’t have a choice.”

Naomi smirked. “Then let’s make sure they regret asking for this meeting.”

I chuckled, shaking my head. I had a feeling things were about to get even more complicated.

“We’ll need to take extra measure soon.” I said with a concern look on my face. “For now, let’s get some sleep and refresh our bodies and mind.” I suggested. ” Tomorrows another day for progress. Rest will serve us well.”

“Good advice.” Kai said.

“Good night.”
