Music is a language most of you understand. You listen to your favorite artist on a daily basis in some form or fashion. You use music for study, in film, television, or as your car ride theme music on long or short drives. Music festivals are a way to come together during the Spring and Summer to celebrate music, enjoy artists, be entertained, have fun, and let loose. The time for music festivals is now, so make sure you don’t miss your favorite artist performing at this year’s music festivals. Here is a list of 10 festivals you should attend in 2019, to take in such artists as Childish Gambino, Ariana Grande, Kenny Chesney, Cardi B, Rae Sremmurd, and more!

  1. Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival – Indio, CA – April 12 – April 21. The lineup includes Childish Gambino, Tame, Ariana Grande, Janelle Monae, Solange and more. Enjoy hip-hop, indie, pop and rock artists.
  2. Tortuga Music Festival – Fort Lauderdale, FL – April 12 – April 14. The lineup includes Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Thomas Rhett, Flo Rida, Sheryl Crow, Filmore, Elle King and more.
  3. New Orleans Jazz Festival – New Orleans, LA – April 25 – May 5. The lineup for NOJF includes Alanis Morissette, Amanda Shaw, Arron Neville, Big Freedia, Bad Boyz Brass Band and more.
  4. Rolling Loud Festival – Miami, FL – May 10 – 12. This is one of the largest hip-hop festival, which is a three (3) day event. If you can’t attend Coachella, then this is one you must be in attendance. The lineup includes some of the biggest names in the industry like Cardi B, Rae Sremmurd, Lil Wayne, Chief Keef, City Girls, Lil Uzi Vert, Wiz Khalifa and more!
  5. Carolina Country Music Festival – Myrtle Beach, SC – June 6 – June 9. The lineup includes. Florida Georgia Line, Thomas Rhett, Alabama, Jimmie Allen and more.
  6. Essence Music Festival – New Orleans, LA – July 4 – July 7. This music festival is becoming a classic and some of old and new names in R&B and hip-hop are always in attendance. Enjoy workshops and meet and greets at the Essence Music Festival. Artist are yet to be announced.
  7. Lollapalooza Chicago – Chicago, IL – August 1 – August 4. If you cant’ make it to Coachella or the Rolling Loud Music Festivals, then you chances of attending a grand music festival is dwindling down as this festival is in August. The lineup includes Ariana Grande, Childish Gambino, Twenty One Pilots, J Balvin, Janelle Monae, Meek Mill, 21 Savage and more top names in the music industry.
  8. Burning Man – Black Rock Desert, NV – August 25 – September 2. The lineup of artist is yet to be announced.
  9. Gulf Coast Jam – Panama City Beach, FL – August 30 – September 1. The 2019 artist have yet to be announced.
  10. IHeart Radio Festival – Las Vegas, NV – September 20 – September 21. The 2019 artist have yet to be announced.

10 Activities You Can Do, To Enjoy The Spring Time In The City Or Suburbs

Spring 2019 has sprung, and while some areas are still shaking off the frost and ice of winter, others are celebrating an increase in daily temperatures. The time change presents more daylight. You will begin to spend more time outside and start looking for functions or get-togethers with others, to release the cabin fever. Here are 10 activities to begin enjoying your spring.

  1. Fly a kite. Get together with friends or neighbors and find an open field with the big sky, pull out those kites, and get them up in the air.

  2. Find local Spring arts and craft shows in your town or city. Don’t be afraid to drive and hour to find festive events. Towns come alive this time of year. 
  3. Take in a wine festival and learn about newly release wines. Taste what spring has to offer in reds and whites. You palette will appreciate it.

  4. If you live in a city, such as Washington DC or a close surrounding area, take in the Cherry Blossoms on the National Mall.
